Students’ Union

The Students’ Union is an independent registered charity that ensures we have something on offer to excite every student. Passionate about the academic success and wellbeing of the student community, Lincoln Bishop University Students’ Union is committed to providing support, running exciting student-led events, and championing the needs and interests of each student.

The Students’ Union also runs an academic representation scheme to make sure the course you study is run fairly and that you feel supported and confident in what you are doing. Lincoln Bishop Students’ Union provides a range of representation and advice services and can assist with anything affecting you as a student.

Being part of Lincoln Bishop University Students’ Union is about community, inclusivity, and diversity. All students are welcome at all events, whether that’s joining the vibrant Freshers’ Week Celebrations, live music nights at the campus Union Bar, or the various clubs and societies on offer. The Students’ Union wants everyone to feel confident that they belong.  

Student leaders and officers are elected by the student community. The Students’ Union values the opinions of its members, so individuals are encouraged to step forward and be the change they want to see on campus. We are proud of all Lincoln Bishop University Students’ Union Alumni, many of whom we are still in contact with, or continue to work with as part of the wider Lincoln Bishop community. 

LBUSU is home to Lincoln Bishop University’s sports teams and societies. Run by students for students, they’re a great way to socialise, keep fit and make the most of your free time whilst studying here! Many of our Sports Teams compete locally and in BUCS leagues, facing off against different universities from around the country.

Union Bar is located within the Students’ Union building and is run by the Students’ Union to bring you headline events, weekly social activities and live acts throughout the year. It serves a great range of beers, exciting cocktails, bottled and soft drinks! Because it’s student run, you can be sure you’re getting the best prices and value on everything we sell, and 100% of the profits from the bar go right back into improving the student experience.

Escape after a hard day in our spacious and comfortable bar area, request songs on our SubTV Student Radio and relax with friends over a few pints or win prizes at our exciting events, like Thursday Curry and Quiz or Bingo!

With 5 HDTVs and a massive 150” projector screen, you can watch all the best live sporting events and more! Simply request at the bar when it’s on and we’ll switch it over.

Union Bar also serves a wide range of hot food - from classic options and burgers to sides and desserts.

Every September, your Students’ Union runs Lincoln Bishop Freshers Week - a week of exciting events, from club nights to animal encounters and wellbeing activities. Keep an eye out on our socials or join the mailing list here.

Free at the point of access for all students who require them, the Community Larder contains a range of staple items, including pasta, bread, snacks, and hygiene items. The Swap Shop is a great place to find new clothing items, sundries and furnishings for your room - you can even drop off any pre-loved items to be reused!
