Starting university is a time of huge possibility, but choosing the right path can feel daunting. That’s where our Careers & Employability team comes in. From your first day to graduation (and beyond), we’re here to guide, encourage and support you every step of the way.

We take the time to understand your interests and ambitions, matching you with opportunities that help you discover your goals and build confidence. Whether you’re exploring career ideas, applying for part-time work, securing a placement or preparing for graduate life, you’ll have access to expert guidance, workshops, careers fairs and a wide network of employers.

Graduate Attributes

Employability is embedded into every course through our Graduate Attributes, helping you develop academic confidence, digital fluency, global awareness and the personal skills employers value most. You can build these further through Excellence Awards, work placements and real-world experiences. 

Career Readiness

Our Career Readiness team is on hand to support with CVs, applications and interviews, while our job portal offers part-time roles, internships, graduate schemes and opportunities to earn while you learn.

 You can also take part in our part-time careers fairs to connect directly with local employers, and explore a range of volunteering opportunities to build your skills and experience.

With guidance and support at every step of your journey, you’ll be ready for every venture (and adventure) that comes your way.
